Comfort Keepers Offers Private Duty Nursing Services in Portland, OR
Private duty nursing provides advanced professional care for aging seniors
With home care, your loved one can age with dignity and stay in control over their life. If your loved one’s healthy, hiring a caregiver will satisfy your parent’s daily needs. However, if that isn’t enough, Comfort Keepers Portland, OR, offers a solution. Our private duty nursing services offer our clients the level of care they need where they want it.
Like our caregivers, our private duty nurses are also highly trained, educated, and skilled. They are either licensed practical nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs). Our private duty nursing staff is certified to perform many advanced medical tasks.
They can maintain colostomy bags and catheter hygiene when needed and provide personal medical care including nail trimming, oral cavity cleaning, and bowel supervision. Our private duty nurses can administer medication including injections, inhalants, eye drops, oral, and topical medications.
Some seniors tend to forget to take their medications or mix them up, especially when they must take several during the day. With our private duty nursing services, your loved one will be safe from prescription drug misuse. Our nurses can set up and maintain a medication schedule, including weekly pill boxes or automatic dispensers.
Family caregivers usually lack knowledge when it comes to using advanced in-home equipment. This is why our trained staff members are glad to help with tracking oxygen levels, using heart monitors, or other equipment. If you wish to learn more about satisfying your loved one’s care needs, our nurses can provide advanced care training for you or other family members.
Like our caregivers, our private duty nursing services are available whenever you need them. Someone from our nursing staff is always there to help your loved one. Our private duty nurses will work with your loved one's medical team to offer the high-quality care they need and deserve.
